CiTy JAZZ is a project combining the talents and experience of musicians from three urban areas: Szczecin, Bydgoszcz, and Poznań, focusing on the discovery and interpretation of jazz and jazz-inflected repertoire from the second half of the 20th century.
The project pays tribute to vocalists (Ewa Bem "Por Favor," "Bo w mnie jest seks," Hanna Banaszak "W mojego magicm domu," Norah Jones "Dont Know Why," Stevie Wonder "Sir Duke"), instrumentalists (Jerzy "Duduś" Matuszkiewicz "W barze," J.J. Johnson "Coffee Pot"), and composers (Włodzimierz Nahorny "Hej portret," Antonio Carlos Jobim "Favela"), presenting both legendary and lesser-known pieces that have contributed to the richness of jazz heritage. Through sophisticated interpretations, we will transport the audience to a unique atmosphere, emphasizing the evolution of jazz and its artistry. We invite you to join us on a journey through decades of jazz, where each song tells a different story, and together they create a fascinating mosaic of sounds and emotions.
