The “audiomatografia.” ensemble consists of students and graduates from music academies in Katowice and Krakow. The quintet primarily performs original compositions, strongly inspired by the traditions of Polish jazz and European improvised music. In 2025, it was awarded in the first edition of the Jazz Boat competition. The sound of the ensemble is characterized by a free approach to improvisation and openness in composition. Due to their extensive inspirations, the musicians create an interesting mix of the bebop language of American jazz, European classical literature, and free avant-garde improvisation on stage.

Below are biographical notes on each member.

Karol Judziński
A double bassist and composer, a student of the jazz department at the Academy of Music in Katowice in the bass guitar class of Dr. Michał Barański. A member of many musical formations focused on improvised music, including the Bartosz Lala trio and the Polish-German youth big band. His work focuses on music strongly connected to European musical traditions.

Paweł Jarzyna
A graduate of ZPSM in Żory in the trumpet class of Mgr Michał Pradela. Currently a student of the Jazz and Popular Music department at the Academy of Music in Katowice in the class of Prof. Piotr Wojtasik. Actively participates in cultural events mainly in Upper Silesia, playing in orchestras and big bands.

Franciszek Gąsowski
A jazz drummer, a graduate of the Fryderyk Chopin Music School II degree in Warsaw, where he studied jazz under Krzysztof Gradziuk. Currently a student at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, where he studies with Paweł Dobrowolski and Adam Buczek. A finalist of the XXVI Jazz Review of the Sax Club in Gdynia, a participant in international jazz workshops in Siena and Velenje. In his musical endeavors, he seeks unconventional solutions and collaborates daily with musicians who blend different genres and styles.

Adrian Szymański
A young alto and soprano saxophonist from Krakow. A graduate of the Academy of Music in Krakow, specializing in jazz and improvised music. A leader and composer. In his work, he mainly focuses on contemporary jazz while respecting its roots and traditions.

Bartosz Lala
A graduate of ZPSM in Żory, currently a student at the jazz department of the Academy of Music in Krakow in the class of Prof. Piotr Wyleżoł. Actively participates in the musical life of Krakow and Upper Silesia. Co-creates projects such as the Adam Oleś trio and the Julka Dobrowolska Quintet.
