The D.O.V.E. ensemble (drums, organ, vibraphone ensemble) was formed in 2015 and has established itself over the years as one of the most interesting and unique groups on the contemporary jazz scene, thanks to the sophisticated combination of sounds from three instruments: vibraphone, Hammond organ, and drums, which are still rarely used together on the European music scene.

The trio has performed on stages across Europe: Germany, Spain, Poland, Austria, France, Slovenia, Croatia, Turkey, always enjoying great success among the audience.

The ensemble, whose repertoire includes both energetic sounds of soul jazz and the most refined hard bop, presents sophisticated original compositions that innovatively reference the 60s and 70s.

The first piece titled “Where Are You?” (Statale 11, 2017) is a conceptual album released exclusively on vinyl and in digital format, featuring very original artwork created in collaboration with graphic designer and illustrator Tommaso Ciato.

The album is essentially a musical game of goose, where the protagonists are the instruments of the ensemble and is sold together with game dice.

After years of touring concerts in Italy and Europe, the trio releases their second album titled “Here We Are!” (Cat Sound Record, 2019). The cover, again signed by Tommaso Ciato, is inspired by Settimana Enigmistica: on the front, there is a connect-the-dots game, and on the back, a crossword puzzle featuring major jazz stars in leading roles.
